Maitland is Europe’s leading financial, corporate and political communications consultancy. We advise many of Britain’s and the world’s finest companies on their communications with the financial markets, the media, governments and regulators. We provide trusted advice on their communications, based on many decades of experience at the highest level. We operate with complete discretion and take pride in the fact that our clients entrust us with their most confidential information. And we seek to influence critical situations for our clients through excellent communications, whether they are executing major mergers and acquisitions, planning an IPO, strengthening their relations with the financial markets, engaging in a vital public policy debate or bolstering their reputations. We are a founding member of AMO, the world’s largest financial communications network.
Angus founded Maitland in 1994 after a career in marketing, advertising and PR, both in industry and as a strategic counselor. In 2010, he was named M&A Communications Adviser of the Decade (2001-10) by Mergermarket and won the SABRE for Lifetime Achievement in Public Relations. Angus is co-chairman of AMO.
Neil leads a number of the firm’s accounts. He joined from Gavin Anderson, where he led that firm’s turnaround. Before that, he spent 18 years as an editor, columnist, broadcaster and journalist, including seven years as the award-winning city editor of the Sunday Telegraph.
William heads Maitland’s financial services and litigation PR teams. His record of long-term client relationships attests to the effectiveness of working to help the media understand clients’ businesses so that coverage is more accurate, balanced and frequent—and attenuated when things go wrong.
